Beyond the Frame

A reproduction of William Blake’s ‘Newton’, which features a naked person sitting on a rock, measuring a triangle on the ground. The edges of the image have been altered, with sections missing as if it is a work in progress in editing software

Beyond Blake (2023), Dall-E 2 generated artwork, extending from William Blake’s Newton (1795–c.1805), Tate Collection

Ever wanted to change what we see inside, and beyond, the picture frame?

Work with creative facilitators to use new AI and digital imaging technologies to produce new works of art and collaborate with others to build a virtual reconstruction of Tate Britain as an inclusive, accessible, and non-hierarchical space.

No prior knowledge of, or experience with, AI technologies necessary.

Organised in partnership with Winchester School of Art.

This event is part of Queer and Now, a festival dedicated to the powerful role of LGBTQIA+ art and culture in the UK.
