Join artist and filmmaker, Isaac Julien, and founder of Queercircle, Ashley Joiner, as they discuss the museum as a site for subversion and transgression.

This conversation will draw on key works within the exhibition and explore how the framework of queer culture has permeated Isaac’s work and poetic approach to filmmaking over decades.

Beyond the museum this conversation will examine the role that the arts and cultural spaces play in society and health.

This conversation will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.

This event is part of Queer and Now, a festival dedicated to the powerful role of LGBTQIA+ art and culture in the UK.
